Health And Safety

Keeping a relentless focus on safety is a top priority for us. Rigorous management of risk helps to protect the people at the frontline, and the places in which we operate. We continue to enhance our systems, processes and standards, including how we manage the risks that can be created by the actions of our contractors and the operators of joint ventures in which we participate.

We abideby laws pertaining to oil and gas exploration and production in India, particularly the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS) and Oil Industry Safety Directorate (OISD). All statutory consents are obtained under section 21 of Air Act, under section 25 of Water Act and Authorization under Rule 3(C) & 5(5) of the Hazardous Waste (Management and Handling) Rules for meeting operational requirements. All the stipulations are monitored and timely reported to the respective regulatory agencies.

Our ambition is to achieve no harm and no leaks across all of our operations. Everyone working for us strives to achieve this goal each day To achieve this, we focus on the three areas of safety hazards which have the highest risks for our type of activities: personal, process, and transport safety.

We help improve safety performance throughout the energy industry and work in partnership with industry trade associations and professional bodies to share our safety experience, standards and knowledge with other operators and contractors.
